Katie Scarlett Brunson recently graduated from the Boston Conservatory, where she received a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre.
Katie was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, where she began her dance training at the age of three! As a child, she was very fortunate to have been exposed to the theatre and the arts. When Katie was seven years old, her parents took her to see 42nd Street on Broadway (two times!) and she sat at the edge of her seat and tapped along the entire show.
As her love for the arts and performing grew exponentially, Katie practiced all styles of dance at various studios in Georgia, and continued to see musicals with her family as she grew up. At a very young age, Katie got involved in community theater where she fell in love with performing.
During middle school, Katie’s mom enrolled her in a workshop through Broadway Dreams Foundation. This workshop lit a fire within her and she has been involved with the program for eight years. Through this foundation, Katie has established meaningful relationships and gained invaluable mentors and friends. She conintually sends endless amounts of gratitude to them!
Katie pursued musical theater in high school, eventually leading her to attend the Boston Conservatory! Attending BoCo was a life changing experience, as she was able to find her voice and grow as an artist.
Katie is also a FlyBarre Instructor at Flywheel Sports. She lives a positive, health-conscious lifestyle, and is eager to share her knowledge, passion, and love of endorphins with those around her!
Regionally, Katie has appeared in 42nd Street, Singin' in the Rain (North Shore MT); The Christmas Voyager (Westchester Broadway Theatre); 42nd Street, Carousel and Thoroughly Modern Millie (Reagle MT). She is a member of the EMC program.
Katie currently lives in New York City and is continuing to grow as an artist, not only in musical theatre, but in voice over work as well! Every day she wakes up and pursues her never ending dreams!
